IKAG ("we," "us," "our") connects clients with vetted tradespeople and service providers across Nigeria. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what's needed to match clients with the right provider and to keep the platform trustworthy:

• From clients: name, phone number, email, service request details, and location (for job matching).
• From service providers: name, contact details, primary skill/service category, business name, and location submitted during registration.
• From reviewers: name, location (optional), star rating, and review text if you submit a review of your experience.
• Automatically: basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, and cookies as described in Section 4.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To match clients with an appropriate, vetted provider
• To vet and onboard service providers who register with us
• To display approved client reviews on the site
• To send job status updates and confirmations via phone, email, or WhatsApp
• To improve the platform and respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Who We Share Information With

Job details (name, contact, service request) are shared only with the specific provider matched to a job, or the specific client a provider is matched with — never broadcast to unrelated users. We may share data with service providers we rely on to run the platform (e.g. hosting, form processing via Google), who are only permitted to use it to provide that service to us.

4. Cookies

We use cookies to make the site work and, where you consent, to understand how the site is used:

• Essential cookies — required for core site functionality (e.g. remembering your cookie choice). These cannot be turned off.
• Analytics cookies — help us understand site usage so we can improve it. These only load after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner.

You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing your browser's site data for theikag.com and reloading the page, which will show the consent banner again.

5. Reviews

Reviews submitted through the site are checked before they're shown publicly. Your name, location (if provided), rating, and review text may be displayed to other visitors once approved.

6. Data Storage & Security

Information is stored using reputable cloud infrastructure (Google Sheets/Apps Script and Cloudflare) with access limited to authorized IKAG team members. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

7. Your Rights

You can ask us to:

• Show you what information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information, subject to any legal or record-keeping requirements

8. Children's Privacy

IKAG is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this policy as IKAG grows. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
